HOMEMADE FESTIVE GINGER COOKIES

Ingredients:
250 g Flour
1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
1 ½ tsp Ground ginger
100 g Butter, softened
1 cup Brown sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Golden syrup
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Add flour, butter, ground ginger and bicarbonate of soda into a mixing bowl, and mix until crumbly.
- Add brown sugar, golden syrup and egg to the mixture.
- Mix well using your hands until it forms a firm pastry.
- Lightly dust a surface with flour.
- Roll the dough out on the floured surface to about 5mm thick.
- Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter.
- Place cookies on a greased baking tray, and bake in the oven for approximately 7 minutes or until golden.
